CAN CATS GET COLDS AND COUGHS?
Similar to people, cats can catch a variety of Feline Upper Respiratory Infections, usually caused by different bacteria or a virus. These infections can show themselves as coughing, runny nose, repeated cat sneezing, watery eyes and mild fever - similar to the symptoms experienced by people.
In cats, the feline herpes virus (FHV) is a common cause of cat colds. Usually affecting the upper respiratory symptom, FHV (feline herpesvirus type-1 - aka feline viral rhinotracheitis) and FCV (feline calicivirus) can even lead to mouth ulcers (stomatitis) and swelling of the eye membranes (conjunctivitis). In fact up to 97% of cats get exposed to FHV leading to lifelong infection in up to 80% of cats.
The most common bacterial upper respiratory infections are caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica and C. felis (Chlamydophila felis).

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOUR CAT HAS A RESPIRATORY INFECTION?
Respiratory infections are fairly common in cats, especially amongst feral cat colonies due to the highly contagious nature of the illness.
Typical symptoms of an upper respiratory infection are coughing and sneezing, clear and cloudy discharge from the nose and eyes, red and weeping eyes, lethargy, fever, lack of appetite, and possibly even wheezing or difficulty breathing. Other related symptoms you may notice are: mouth ulcers, enlarged lymph nodes, and excessive squinting. Your cat may be lethargic and may not be interested in eating. They may also develop a fever (higher than 102.5 degrees).
If any of these symptoms cause great discomfort or persist for a week even in mild cases, then it may be a good time to get your kitty checked by a vet.
Is there a cold remedy for cats?
Effective treatment depends on what type of infection your cat has, how long they have had the symptoms, and their overall health. If your cat has mouth ulcers (stomatitis) along with the cold this should be treated immediately as your cat will be in too much pain and may refuse to eat anything.

Can a cat have kennel cough?
Kennel cough in cats is not as common as in dogs, but cats can also contract Bordetella bronchiseptica. Symptoms of kennel cough in cats includes coughing (possibly even dangerous whooping cough), fever, nasal discharge, and loss of appetite. This can quickly turn into pneumonia and requires supportive medical care.

This was unbelievable! I was skeptical to be honest. I had the allergy meds and didn’t really notice them working. I still can’t say for sure, we live where allergens are really high. Curtis is just 4 years old. He suddenly started acting lathargic and drinking excessive water. After 2 days in the hospital, he was diagnosed with diabetes, kidney issues, and possibly pancreatic issues. As we got the diabetes under control through diet, he started coughing..constantly. He would cough all night long; keeping him and us up. It was a terrible feeling not being able to help him. We thought it was hairballs because he was excessively grooming but nothing would come up. Back to the vet (he is NOT a fan of going there) and was diagnosed with asthma, possibly bronchitis. However with his diabetes, we could not give him prednisone because it could spike his blood sugar to a dangerous level. Maddie is a former feral, found with her mom & siblings. I adopted her about 3 yrs ago at 1 yr old. The rescue didn't know about her occasional coughing, so I was surprised the 1st time I heard it. After a vet visit & scan, nothing was really found. My vet had a respiratory specialist look at the results & had a few ideas, but nothing definite. After looking on my own, I found your website & thought I'd try it. I've started off slow. Giving her 2 pills at night. She's had only a few spells & acts like nothing happened when over. They last for a couple seconds. I'll continue to do this, maybe increase to two in the a.m.

My Maine Coon was experiencing wheezing and coughing that did not seem to get better over time. I suspected asthma, though tests were inconclusive. I ordered Breathe Easy and began administering the recommended dosage for my cat's weight. Within a week his wheezing began to subside. My cat friend is a feral male I have been working with for a number of years. He comes to eat and will let me pet him briefly. He will now come in the house on rare occasions. I was able to get him to the vet once, when he was extremely ill. Temp 105 and climbing. His respiratory system is not strong. He started getting sick again and I was out of antibiotic. In desperation I started searching the web for some alternative for him. I have been giving him this product for several weeks. He takes it in his food, no issues. He seems to be getting better. Well,my guy Cheeto,is a 23 lb er,and suffers from Feline respiratory aliments due to virus . He's been on breath easy for 1 month and a definite improvement showed. I gave 3 /morning 3 /nite. Then was suggested to do 2/2/2 a day. He's sneezed out some huge mucus mass from time to time,I'm thinking it's the viruses flare ups. Would trying 3/3/3 a day be too much? Or is that a try it and see thing? If the pills are holistic and not a worry thing, I'll try it. Again he's a big guy.

Our boy Chance! Since the beginning he has had sneezes and a runny nose which made for a mess at times. Last year he got really bad and could not control them which led to a very full runny nose and congestion. Twice the vet gave him a steroid shot which only lasted a week and we did not feel good doing that. We decided to try Breath Easy after a few others and what a miracle! The product works, but slowly. I was using the breathe easy but changed to the immune tabs. His sneezing is less, runny nose comes and goes. Hopefully it will have an all of the sudden healing effect. He is almost 14 so I worry.

Ian is one of my rescue cats that came to me with his siblings I fostered them Ian and his sister did not get adopted because they were the sickly ones. We kept them Ian's sister passed away last year. Ian has herpes and has breathing issues and a weepy eye I have tried many things most were a waste of money and time. He has been on this a few weeks now and I am see improvement his breathing is not so raspy and his eye seems to be better. I have to trick him to get this down but hiding it in some fish pate works most of the time. I will continue to use this.

My little ragdoll has asthma. I had no idea cats even had that. After our first trip to the emergency, they advised us of it and said to talk to our vet. They next day I we went. The prognosis wasn't what I expected. He said there isn't anything to treat it until it becomes bad. Then he can treat with steroids. So research I did. I found bestlife4pets, did my research and decided to try it. I haven't been a homeopathic till now. I bought the immunity boost as well. Since giving this to him he has not had one event since. Our adult Siamese seal point rescue cat has had problems with URI's, sneezing off & on & runny eyes since we rescued him almost 4 years ago. He's been to the vet many times & has been off & on several oral antibiotics, oral anti-virals, allergy meds & eye meds but none seem to help for long. I saw this product & decided to give it a try as we had nothing to lose. Have been crushing 2 tabs twice daily & putting it in wet food so it is easy enough to give. My cat appears to have a chronic snot issue that a few different vets have not been able to fix. She's received shots in the past, but they only relieve her condition temporarily. I'm always looking for something more natural to try that will give us both some relief from her snotting everywhere. Unfortunately, this product does not seem to be doing that job. She's only been taking it for a couple of weeks so far...3 pills twice a day...so I'll keep at it in the hopes that maybe it just takes awhile to work.

I’m giving this a 4 star review because I think it helps a lot but as always check with your vet if you have one. Due to the lack of vets where I live, you’re pretty much on your own, so when 1 of my cats were sick I bought this. I’m not sure if the medication worked fully because by the time it shipped and we got it he was already slowing getting better, but i gave him 2 and it seemed to help him. Would try their other products.

We adopted Autumn from our local humane society in October of 2022. It was a Bissell Empty the Shelter week, and it was crazy busy when we went to get her.
When we were ready to take her, a staff member handed me a pill bottle and said "she's finishing a course of steroids." They told me she took the meds well in canned food. I didn't really get much more information.
In January of 2023, Autumn became seriously ill. We took her to the vet near us that had seen our border collie. They helped her by giving her antibiotics and antiviral and ear drops. They also said she might have asthma.
Autumn got better, started eating and playing again. She continues to sneeze and cough though. We took her back to the vet. They will not diagnose her with asthma without expensive testing. My husband asked if we could try another course of steroid. They wouldn't prescribe even that without the testing they want to do
In desperation, not wanting Autumn to get seriously ill again and not really being able to afford the tests, I found your product. I received it just before Christmas.
Autumn is hanging in there. She's still sneezing and coughing as of now. She's also still eating and playing too though. It has been just under two weeks. I'm hopeful that she'll make progress still since she has been battling this for some time.

I had a new ragdoll kitten and he had a breathing attack. I had him at the emergency vet and my vet trying to get what was diagnosed as asthma. I had never heard of a cat having that. All I knew was that I wanted it fixed. My vet and the emergency center said it doesn't go away. You have to wait till it gets bad and he can give him steroids. In search of Something, then I found breath easy and immune boost. Giving him that twice a day, he is now 2 years and has not had one more attack. This really helps my the cat I saved with her respiratory problems. It mostly is caused by the Herpes virus cats carry and stress brings it out. I use this with another product Throat Gold. The both of them keep her sneezing attacks with a lot of drainage to a bare minimum and her breathing attacks similar to asthma to barely any now.

My cat Zippy has been experiencing congestion issues for years. Nothing we tried worked to eliminate the mucous. It was causing him to wretch as though he had a hairball. You could hear a lot of fluid in the sound of the wretching. The Breathe Easy cat supplement began working after the first dose. My wife and I were really amazed. We give it to him twice a day. It's very easy to administer. I grind the pills up with a spoon, and then add a small amount of a liquid supplement. I then take the mixture on my fingers and place it directly into his mouth. We are going to continue using this product for the life of our cat.

I love this product called Breathe Easy. My cats were suffering from a sudden cold and several of the cans were breathing through with the mouths open. One cat called Angel was not eating and was very concerned. After a couple of treatments, Angel began to eat and her breathing became easier. I bought the Breathe Easy for my cat when my Vet informed me he had asthma and I had to purchase a $60.00 inhaler asthma chamber and an inhaler with medicine out of New Zealand (because in US it was over $600and their fee was $55. Before I ordered any of that above, my friend had informed me about her cats asthma medicine she ordered from your company. I ordered a bottle and have been using 4 pills mashed up twice a day for my cat in his wet food. S8nce the pills are tasteless and odorless, he never knows he is taking anything. within 24 hours, my cat was not coughing near as much as he had been. It’s been over a week now that he has been on Breathe Easy and I might hear a small cough once in that week lasting only a few seconds. I’m continuing to use the Breathe Easy for my cats asthma and have no doubt that this will take care of his asthma in a much less traumatic way than trying to get him used to a rubber mouth and nose piece and medicine in it. I was also elated to also see on the website a variety of other homeopathic meds that treated other issues, that as my cat ages(he’s a senior now at 12 yrs) I probably will need to order.
